TIGER EMPRESS
BRED BY A CERTAIN “MRS J GRIFFITHS”
AND SOLD INTO A LIFE OF ABSOLUTE HELL
Roxy Roxy Roxy
ORIGINALLY BEATEN AND CONFINED IN A WOODEN CRATE FOR THE FIRST THREE YEARS OF HER LIFE. INJURIES UNTREATED. NO ONE WAS INTERESTED IN HER WELFARE IT SEEMED - not even chow rescue were made aware of her plight until we rescued her.
Believe it or not, but this little girl was advertised as a breeding bitch - unbelievable.
THANKFULLY SHE ENDED UP WITH US AND NOT A PUPPY FARM OR UNSCRUPULOUS BREEDER, apparently because of her colour; I was once told; she is “a desirable breeder”.
This little girl has been through so much in her oh such short life
However, even though there is nothing I can do to alleviate the trauma this girl has suffered, at least I have her feeling and looking so much better.
As to her character, well, she is a bugger.
There was a time when Roxy and Emma got along famously, but now, even with her disabilities she argues the toss with Emma all the time. There have been “slight” scuffles, but nothing damaging, and totally under control.
Roxy in all honesty has never been able to become a part of the pack here, though she is safe and oh so brave. She is there with the rest of them, investigating noises, especially the post man and the door bell.
Because of her injuries, she cannot even give herself an itch, so that job is down to me, at least 20 times a day, and she readily accepts the affection and attention.
Mind you she can now climb the stairs. Getting up is not a problem for her, grunting, huffing and puffing away, but once she is there, no way will she come back down, and picking her up still causes fear to rush through her body. But we are getting there. If I ever DARE carry her up the stairs while she is doing it, she goes off on one. She wants to do it herself. A determined little lady that will not allow her human inflicted injuries to deter her.
She is so affectionate that I find it almost impossible to believe the previous owners actually caused this amount of harm to her. But there you have it. Cruelty is going on and continues to go on.
After what this little mite has been through, it is amazing that she is here at all.
