YINGCHUNG SPIRIT OF THE SEA AT DENROB
My beautiful Rio, how can I describe her? I call her “Mommy” and she responds to that. So be it.
Everywhere I go she is never far behind, even when we are out and about, she will NOT leave my side for anything.
Taking a nap, she ALWAYS wakes every now and then to come in to check I am O.K. then back to her nap. Just checking.
She is my protector, end of story, and no one and nothing will stand in her way to be near me.
And for her protection; I love her for it. Anyone who visits has to go through her to get to me.
It’s the way she likes it and it’s the way it stays.
From the day she arrived it has ALWAYS been the same. Having said that though; and in contradiction; there really isn’t a bad bone in her body when it comes to mixing with the other chows here. She has NEVER bared her teeth in anger - NEVER!
Rio happily sleeps on the bed with me at night, looking down at the others on the bedroom floor. Since coming here she has always been like that. We bonded from day one; I feel; and I have no intention of ever breaking that bond.
She is a beauty pure and simple and is readily available for strokes and cuddles. She will only lick me too! No one else.
Rio is a well proportioned BIG girl and easily carries her 36 kg of weight. She is quick to respond to noises and especially strangers.
Rio and I hit it off from day one, and again with our man Max. She tormented him to death - playfully - and he responded in kind. They are now husband and wife. Oh she gives him a telling off when necessary, like if he so much as sniffs another girl. He is not allowed to do that, and he takes note too!
Rio ALWAYS has time to play but most of the day she is content to stay by my side. If I wander off anywhere, she is right behind me.
