ROSECHOW REALLY CHEEKY AT DENROB
Ah Lily, Lily, Lily, fat and happy, he he he. Affectionately known as Lily Lump.
At dinner time she will only answer to “Lily Like”. That means food and she is up and at it like a shot.
No seriously she has a weight problem. She can eat air and put weight on. And before anyone asks her thyroid levels are fine. It’s just in her make up.
Lily loves an amble along the river bank, and despite being 33 kg; when she needs to, boy can she move.
Again like Emma, Lily seems to prefer her own company a lot of the time, but.... readily accepts the affection when on offer, and from whom, well she really don’t care. If she in in the mood then grab it I say. We are often found on the living room floor tickling her tummy while she grunts and snorts away, rolling this way and that.
She is very wary of strangers though, strange smells, quick movements etc.
Lily can SNORE for England.
If there was a dog snoring exhibition she would win hands down. The walls rattle when she goes.
Now people find this strange, but Lily; along with the others; INSISTS on sleeping in the bedroom with us. She isn’t the only one that snores either, and they can be heard in unison, but all so different. If one wasn’t there then we would know which it was by the sounds they make whilst sleeping.
It’s strange when one decides to trot off to the lounge. You MISS the snoring sound of that particular chow and makes sleeping without it very difficult indeed.
Lily is definitely a cat hater. My cats are demented having to dodge her. If she sees them, well they are fair game to her despite constant telling off.
Lily is quite simply adorable from my point of view, and I can never get enough of her snoring, grunting ...........and farts.
She just likes to blow one off from time to time, and the look on her face is hilarious.
There was once, a Kodak moment indeed, but it has happened so often since......One quiet night there they all were in the lounge snoring away peacefully and all of a sudden CHAOS!!!!!. Bark Bark Bark. A Noise.
It was Lily letting one off!
She just lay there and let them all fuss about trying to find the noise.
Sooner or later they ALL sniffed Lily out who by that time, was bored with that game and had gone back to sleep.
Lily recently (March 2009) decided to see what the gravel on the drive tasted like. NOT NICE! She had to have 690g surgically removed. She was placed in a recovery cage and we were there when she woke.
She took one look at us, and in disgust, indignantly turned her back, glared at the back of the cage and as if on command, gave off the most smelly and LOUD fart ever. SHE WAS NOT AMUSED AT BEING CAGED.
When Lily is “not amused” that is what she does. EVERYTIME, so we know when we have done something to annoy her.
Lily is a MUM through and through. Whether they are her puppies or not. Her daughters Annie and Trish have both had babies and each and every time Lily is there fussing. NEVER any arguments on who’s they are, she knows her place.
Each and every time puppies are born here all it takes is a sniff and Lily goes into Mum mode. Her milk develops and she wants in. With Annie and Trish she is the only one they will allow anywhere near their pups. She baby sits whenever needed. AND NEVER A CROSS WORD WITH MUM’S EITHER. NEVER!
Lily has raised 2 orphaned litters on her own too! for dog sanctuaries and is registered with the RSPCA should her services ever be needed by them. SHE REALLY IS A MUM THROUGH AND THROUGH.
CAN YOU TELL WE ARE SO PROUD OF HER!!!!
She really is cheeky and gets away with everything. So she should too.
