On 11th November 2005, we lost our darling cat Jakey. He was 3 years old. He was crossing the road (I lived then; in a quiet little cul-de-sac) to come home for his dinner when I SAW an old blind neighbour that should have been banned from driving years ago, hit him with his car.
Jakey didn’t die instantly and was in a lot of pain. The vet had to be called to euthanise him but despite his speed in getting here Jakey expired on my sofa.
Jakey was cremated on the 12th November and is now with our darling Molly.
Jakey LOVED all of my Chows, and I am sure in fact he thought he was one of them. He was ALWAYS snuggled up in one of their tummy’s and when the dogs were at the door due to the bell ringing, he was there with them meowing away whilst they barked.
Jakey was one of a kind of cat, just a normal moggie, but so affectionate to everyone. We will ALL miss him terribly. Frankie Chow actually got in after the vet was here and just HOWLED like a wolf. He knew he had lost his friend.
